Saturday’s Premiership Football

Portsmouth v Newcastle – Live on Setanta Sports 1, k/o 17:15pm

After Pompey secured a place in the FA Cup final last weekend their focus now switches to this weekend’s Premiership match against Newcastle. The first match between these sides this season ended in a convincing 4-1 victory for Portsmouth at St. James’ Park. Portsmouth will be hoping that the Premiership’s form striker Defoe, who has scored 8 goals in 7 games, will be able to add to his total after missing their mid week game against West Ham. Newcastle are chasing their fourth consecutive league win, which is their best run of the season. Kevin Keegan seems to have got the right formation with a three pronged attack. The bookies have installed the home team as favourites with VC Bet offering 11/10 while Newcastle have been priced at 15/5 by Centrebet.

Man Utd v Arsenal – Live on Sky Sports 1, k/o 16:00pm

Man Utd go into the game against Arsenal on a high after a 1-0 victory over Roma at Old Trafford gave them a comfortable 3-0 aggregate score line. However expect Fergie to make several changes to the side that started against Roma. Undoubtedly Rooney and Ronaldo, who have scored 38 league goals between them, will return to the starting line up for a match that could go a long way to deciding the title. Arsenal on the other hand will have to pick themselves up after their elimination for the Champions League. A must win game for Arsenal may mean a start for Walcott who came on for a cameo against Liverpool and set up Arsenal’s second goal with a fantastic run..
